The healing sea of Byron
calls me to wash
cleanse
deep into stagnant cells
awaken all of my being
I am reminded
of a mona lisa smile within
that was always there
by the curvaceous woman
sunbathing topless
head lifted
eyes closed to the sky
silvery lines across her belly
a testament
of the love she has carried within her
of the love she has cradled in her arms
No thing is as important
as this moment
no thing can hold my mind
other than this sea bird hovering above me
breath entering my nostrils
Watching the surf crash
I breath with it
feel it warm
in my sternum, my belly
The young lion
His mane long silken
With a smile as broad as the ocean
carries his surfboard
like a great proud treasure into the waves
I watch the tide pull away
I feel my heart drawn with it in rhythm
held in embrace
pure surrender
of the old me
of what no longer serves
Soothed with each wave landing
each tidal shift
old stores of long overcoats over my being
pulled away and released
from my bones, sinews and skin
As grains of warm sand run languid through my fingers
Face lifted to the sun
Ahhh
Sleeping with the sea singing in my ears
thrumming through my body
A resonance of peace
pours into my being
Reminding me of what it is to be
connected
at ease
in awe of life
